摘要：An image forming apparatus includes a control unit that applies a tension to arecording medium in a first region between a rotational shaft and a driving roller using a
torque applied to the rotational shaft and the driving roller, and applies a tension to therecording medium in a second region where a support member supports the recordingmedium using a torque applied to the driving roller and a holding unit. The control unitselectively executes an image forming mode where the head is caused to execute imageforming by applying a tension to the recording medium in the second region whileapplying a tension to the recording medium in the first region, and a medium detachingmode where the tension in the first region is released when the recording medium isstopped, while applying a tension for detaching a medium to the recording medium in thesecond region.
