Homecoming, a celebration which occurs in every fall and lasts a week in American high schools and universities, is the tradition of welcoming back alumni of a school. Dating back to the early 1900s, Homecoming has been a celebration aiming to review the school motto and unite the students and teachers. During Homecoming each school will hold a football game in which nearly the entire school attends. Other major activities like the Homecoming Dance and the election of the Homecoming King and Queen are also included. By taking part in all these activities, alumni surely enjoy the time spent with old friends and feel proud of achievements of their school.

(1) a student offered his seat;

(2) an old man blamed the student; (3) the public focus Possible version 1

An old men, who thought himself not to be old, refused the seat offered by a student and even blamed the student. however, the student was scared and left quietly. This aroused the public concern.

There is no doubt that offering seats to others is our traditional virtue. Old people are physically disadvantaged, so they are easier to get hurt if they stand on the bus or the train.

If I were the boy, I would not choose to escape hastily when faced with the mess of the old man. Instead I would try to have a good conversation with him to explain the misunderstanding

I also had a similar experience. One day, I was riding to my school when 1 found an old lady lying on the road ahead of me. I rushed to help her up. But not thanking me, the old lady blamed me for my knocking her down, which made me wronged. Although I was misunderstood at that time, I didn't feel regretful.
