摘要：Methods and systems for simulating performance of a head-up display (HUD)are provided. An example method comprises receiving images of symbology for display
by a head-up display, generating distortions to the images as perceived from observerlocations through the head-up display, and the distortions are based on design
characteristics of an optical component of the head-up display with respect to a model ofa projection of the images. The method also includes applying the distortions to theimages to generate modified images, and the modified images represent a view of thehead-up display corresponding to respective observer locations. The method furtherincludes providing, for stereoscopic display, the modified images overlaying onto abackground image. An example system comprises a storage device, a head trackingdevice to determine the observer location, and a projector to project the modifiedimages onto a display corresponding to the determined observer location.
