三、语法

1、描述过去某地没有某些物用句型There was/were no+某些物+表示过去的时间。 eg:—There was no computer room in my school five years ago.

五年前我的学校里没有计算机房。

—There were no houses many years ago.许多年前这里没有房屋。 注：

①表示过去的时间有：...years ago, ...months ago, last year/month... ①no后面加可数名词单数，可数名词复数或不可数名词。

2、tell sb. about sth.的意思是告诉某人关于......的事

eg:—Tell me about your homework, please.请给我讲讲你的作业吧。

3、look up的意思是（在字典，参考书，网络等）查阅，当和名词连用时名词可放其中间，也可以放其后，但是当和代词连用时，代词必须放中间。 eg:—look the words up=look up the words=look it up

4、①dining room 一般指家庭餐厅 ①canteen 指单位、学校的食堂 ①restaurant 指饭店、餐馆

①dining hall 指规模较大的餐厅或食堂

5、对比自己过去和现在的外貌用句型：

Before, I was +形容词.I had... Now, I’m+形容词. I have...

eg:—Before, I was fat. I had long hair. Now, I’m thin. I have short hair. 过去我很胖，留着长头发。现在我很瘦，留着短头发。 注：描述外貌的形容词有：tall, short, fat, thin, old, young等。

6、对比自己过去和现在的爱好用句型：Before, I didn’t like... Now, I like/love...或I like/love to...

eg:—Before,I didn’t like pears. Now, I like pears very much.

过去我不喜欢梨，现在我非常喜欢梨。

7、描述自己过去不能做的事情及现在的情况用句型：Before, I couldn’t +动词原形+其它.Now, I +动词原形+其它.

eg:—Before, I couldn’t swim. Now I swim well.过去我不会游泳。现在我游得很好。

8、对比自己过去和现在的性格特征用句型：Before, I was +形容词.Now, I’m+形容词. eg:—Before, I was funny. Now I’m strict.过去我很幽默。现在我很严肃。 注：描述性格特征的形容词有：funny, kind, strict, polite, hard-working, helpful, clever, shy等。
