摘要： Apparatus measuring the complex dielectric constant and the conductivity of adielectric material, or a variation thereof. It comprises: a structure (1) which can resonatein the radio frequency or microwave frequency when it is in contact with a dielectricmaterial, or nearby thereof; a first device (4) providing a first indication associated with avariation in the said structure resonant frequency when the latter is in contact with saidmaterial, or nearby thereof, and that with respect to a resonant frequency referencewhen said structure is neither in contact with said material, or near thereto; and a seconddevice (5, 6, 7, 8) providing a second indication associated with the return loss when saidstructure is in contact with said material, or nearby thereof, and the dielectric constantthe complex conductivity of said material, or a variation thereof, can thus be calculated onthe basis of said first and second indications.
