摘要：A medical control apparatus is provided in a medical apparatus and includes: aninsertion portion that is provided in a medical apparatus and comprises a bending portionon a distal end side; a drive portion that generates a driving force for subjecting thebending portion to a bending operation; a wire that is connected with slackness to the
bending portion; a pulling portion that pulls the wire; a connecting portion that connectsthe drive portion and the pulling portion so as to have a positional relationship thattransmits/does not transmit a driving force between the drive portion and the pullingportion; a driving amount detection portion that detects a driving amount of the driveportion as a drive portion driving amount; a pulling portion driving amount detectionportion that detects a pulling portion driving amount produced by the pulling portion; acomparison portion that compares a change amount of the drive portion driving amountand a change amount of the pulling portion driving amount; and an identification portionthat, based on a comparison result obtained by the comparison portion, identifies aboundary between a range in which contribution to bending of the bending portion ispossible by a restoring force of an elastic member forming the bending portion and arange in which the contribution to bending of the bending portion is not possible due tooccurrence of the slackness of the wire.
