摘要：Injection syringe has a body (12) in the form of an elongated tubular barrel withan end wall and a needle, and a piston which slides inside it. The end of the syringe barrelincorporates a moving needle guard (36) which is actuated by the movement of thepiston to cover the needle as it is withdrawn from the patient's skin. The needle guard
moves in a socket in the end of the syringe barrel and has its inner end in the form of athrust surface which interacts with the piston, which is in two sections (62, 58) with thespace between them containing the injected fluid. The guard is made in the shape of aring with three inward extensions with ends which clip into place in the barrel.
