摘要：A process for making paper which comprises making paper from a pulp slurrycontaining a neutral sizing agent and, if necessary, a filler and containing as a paperquality improver a cationic polymer prepared by copolymerizing an acrylamidecompound represented by CH=C(R)CONH (wherein R' represents H or methyl) and anorganic or inorganic acid salt of a diallylamine compound represented by (CH=C(R)CH)N-R (wherein R represents H or methyl and R represents H or C alkyl) in the presence orabsence of a vinyl monomer copolymerizable with the acrylamide compound and/or thesalt of a diallylamine compound. The piper quality improver serves to improve theefficiency of additives in making paper in neutral or alkaline conditions, and therefore,provide paper having good sizability and well improved paper power.
