摘要：A method and an apparatus for producing extra-wide veneers and using themfor the production of continuous laminated wood boards by gluing and pressing themfrom a chain of extra-wide veneers assembled in several layers over and behind one
another. The method invention consists in the fact that the veneers arriving with aproducible width and grain running crosswise are brought together end to end to form achain of veneers, stitched together at the junctions or attached with adhesive tape andthe veneers thus assembled are cut to a given oversize in the direction of the grain sothat the seams or junctions between the veneers are distributed irregularly across thewidth of laminated boards, not in line one over the other.
