摘要：A flashlight emitting device for a camera wherein the flash coverage of a flashdevice is varied, only when a mode in which flashlight is to be emitted is selected, inresponse to a zooming operation to assure appropriate exposure and eliminate wastefulconsumption of power. The device comprises flashlight emitting means, mode changingover means operable in response to operation of a manually operable member forselecting one of a first mode in which daylight photographing is to be performed and asecond mode in which the flashlight emitting means may be rendered operative to effectflashlight photographing, exposure controlling means for effecting exposure control inaccordance with a selected mode, driving means for varying the flash coverage of theflashlight emitting means between a tele side and a wide side in response to a variation ofthe focal length of a lens of the camera, and driving controlling means for rendering thedriving means inoperative when the first mode is selected by the mode changing overmeans but enabling operation of the driving means when the second mode is selected bythe mode changing over means.
