摘要：The biological treatment is carried out in several stages to break down theorganic carbon compounds and oxidise the nitrogen compounds. The organic carboncompounds are broken down in a first stage, then an intermediate clarification is carried
out, and a filtration is provided upstream of the nitrogen-oxidising stage which isdesigned as disc aerator. The intermediate clarification can be dispensed with in certaincases. The essential advantage is that considerably higher nitrification efficiencies areachieved compared with known processes, and thus smaller, but more efficient, discaerator systems can be used.
