Analysis of the teaching material
The teaching material is about‘Comic strip and Welcome to the unit’.In the comic strips, there is a funny dialogue between Eddie and Hobo, which tells the students that they’ll learn something about food in the unit.‘Welcome to the unit’belongs to warm-up activities.In this part, it can arouse the students’ interest in studying food. The students are required to give free talks and share their individual information with each other. By talking about their favourite food, the students will learn some words and expressions about food and learn how to express likes and dislikes.
