To be positionedaround a place or object means to surround it or be on all sides of it. To movearound a place means to go along its edge, back to your starting point.

2.绕过；越过
If you movearound a corner or obstacle, you move to the other side of it. If you lookaround a corner or obstacle, you look to see what is on the other side.

这两个词用作介词时含义相同，常可互换。过去一般认为around多表示动态，round多表示静态，其实并不一定。这两个词的区别是：

1.around多用于美式英语，round多用于英式英语。

2.around通常只用作介词或副词，而round除此之外还可用作名词和形容词。

around, about, round

这三个词均可表示“在…周围”。about强调“在…附近”“接近”“靠…的周围”等意思,但不一定表示“把…团团围住”; around 和round则强调“围绕”“环绕”等意思,前者多用于美式英语中,而后者多用于英式英语中。

about，around，round

这些词均有“在周围、在附近”之意。

about既可表静态，也可表动态。

around主要用于美国，静态或动态均可。

round主要用于英国，多半指动态。

almost，nearly，about，approximately，around，roughly

这些副词均有“大约，差不多”之意。

almost指在程度上相差很小，差不多。

nearly与almost含义基本相同，侧重指数量、时间或空间上的接近。

about常可分almost和nearly换用，但about用于表示时间、数量的“大约”时，实际数量可能多也可能少。

approximately多用于书面语，指精确度接近某个标准以致误差可忽略不计。

around多用于非正式场合，常见于美国英语。

roughly指按粗略估计，常代替about。
